Was asked by management to quickly list my responsibilities.
Some of my responsibilities are daily and some are ongoing, but if it has anything to do with digital for any of our four papers (all departments and public), I’m the first person everyone calls. My position is this way because I’ve been here since 2001 and have mostly built, trained, and maintained everything digital at all of our properties. I currently report to Editorial (Editor Jim Campanini), but began in Advertising designing, building, booking and tracking of ads, and special sections. Coming from advertising to editorial I have a unique perspective for everything Newspaper online. Going to start by giving my daily morning responsibilities and move into all digital items I’m currently admin for. Admin meaning I built, train, and maintain sites, sections, apps or pages.
DAILY NEWS
Going to start list with my daily responsibilities, every morning I go through and check all news sites, implementing videos and DFM stories where content is needed. I then turn these stories into engaging posts to be used on all our Social Media Channels. We currently have Facebook, Twitter an Google plus channels for all our properties which I maintain and train employees to keep updated daily. NGPS ADMIN FOR FOLLOWING NEWS SITES

This is a quick list and I’m sure theirs things I forgot when I break down to individual newsroom departments, but as you can tell I am fully engaged with everything digital at Media One New England. And with our staff shrinking and our digital practices becoming increasingly more Important, I find myself wearing more and more digital hats.
